A Day of Fun, History, and Community Spirit in Dupont

Kindness Jefferson County Indiana, in collaboration with the Town of Dupont, hosted an unforgettable Community Festival May 17th —and what a day it was! Residents from all corners of Jefferson County came together to celebrate kindness, connection, and community with a mix of games, entertainment, food, and local history.

A Festival With Something for Everyone

The Dupont Community Festival offered a full day of fun and activities for all ages. Kids and adults alike enjoyed classic carnival-style games, a beanbag race, and the always-popular dunk tank. Music kept the energy high throughout the day, thanks to KJCDJ / DJ Joey, our in-house DJ service that kept the crowd grooving.

Local vendors and food trucks lined the area with a variety of options—from sweet treats to hot meals—making it easy to grab a bite and support small businesses at the same time.

A highlight for many was the Junior King & Queen Pageant, where local kids took the stage with confidence. It was a great moment to recognize the young faces shaping the future of our community.

A Trip Back in Time

One of the day’s most memorable moments was the live reenactment of a 1960s bank robbery that once shook the town of Dupont. Performed with gripping attention to detail and enthusiasm, the reenactment brought local history to life—fascinating attendees young and old.
